Austin Fields, a Texas native, is a glassblower and sculptor whose interdisciplinary practice explores light, reflection, and abstraction. She earned her BFA in Glass and Sculpture from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2017 and is currently based in Los Angeles.
Working directly with hot glass, Fields explores the medium as a fluid landscape, sculpted into organic forms that evoke shifting terrain and light. Her intuitive process allows forms to emerge spontaneously, often echoing the contours of the human body while drawing inspiration from natural environments, atmospheric lightscapes, and dreamlike states. Through this approach, her work considers the relationship between material, perception, and space.
Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Sarasota Art Museum and the Dallas Museum of Art Gallery, and is included in private and corporate collections such as Mercedes-Benz.
